twelsh 345 Posted May 16, 2008 Report Share Posted May 16, 2008 i have a neighbour thats got chickens and the other day i saw a rat on my brick shed theres no food on there for it but the worst is that its living under my dog shed which is 18ft long by 8 ft wide and sectioned off in inside my terriers are going mad they know that its there but i am not taking my shed down for a rat so i have set 1 rat trap with bait on and no look as yet and also i ahve one cage trap with bait in and this rat seems to know not to take the bait any one got any other ideas of getting rid of them any help would be greatful i hate theses things i need to catch it Quote Link to post

If there isn't food, water, or shelter, then it won't hang around and they will travel considerable distances for any combination. If you've set traps leave them for a few days and resist the temptation to move them around. Rats don't like that, some will walk around if for days until they're comfortable, or hungry enough, to go with what's offered on the trap. Quote Link to post
