FJager 0
Can be a frustrating exercise at times, perhaps set up some cushions and place the forend of the rifle on them making sure it is fully supported in a plumb position, then get behind the weapon and try to get your vertical crosshair plumb with a true vertical target line that you have setup in front of the weapon, you can also do a primitive bore sight at the same time. Remember though, that when you shoulder the rifle that you need to make sure you are not canting it in the shoulder. Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
I use a spirit level on the scope turrets. Get the rifle levelled off before putting the mounts on, then add mounts and scope making sure rifle doesn't move. Before mounting scope make a mental note of precisely where the bubble of the level is, and then make sure it's in the same place when using the top scope turret. Seems to be working, in that shot placement falls vertically down the crosshair. Quote Link to post
spudlington 3
Think Sportsman sell a spirit level scope ring device. Just use it when attaching your scope fo first time. Quote Link to post
charadam 0
Good article with information on scope alignment here: http://www.gunsandhunting.com/Midway_august.html And the tool itself, available from Midway UK: http://www.midwayuk.com/apps/eproductpage....leItemID=529349 I have no connection with Midway other than as a satisfied customer.
