sounder 9
Fvcking hilarious.A bunch of fellas fom a country called Ireland, getting really so uptight about a game of FOOTBALL between a team from Scotland and one from Russia. More national Identity crisis's breaking out all over the place. At least that Wildfowler muppet had a tenuous excuse for his bitter outbursts - he lives in FIFE FFS. But Irish Lurcher form DUBLIN and site moderater Johngalway forom Galway we must presume jumping on the bandwagon and continuing to stir up trouble. Now Irish lurcher may have an excuse - he's probably a daft young lad and poorly educated, BUT JOHNGALWAY is a site moderator on a British based hunting site, yet cannot keep his anti British feelings under wraps when pointless discussions like this arise. Shame on you John, and shame on me for thinking you were a sensible level headed impartial moderator. sore loser, how was he anti British,

gaz 284
Mr John Galway,i have no problem with you deleting my thread (buckle up manchester) as i agree with what you were saying about the thread getting out of hand with the insults getting nasty with biggotry and racist comments which im not that keen on either,i enjoy the banter...end of BUT!! Mr john Galway,i hope your as keen to close the the threads on all the other racist shite on here from a fair amount of other members ripping into muslims, pakis, poles and eastern europeans ect ect........... So Mr John Galway i will be watching on very closly to see if you are not being too hypocritical with the magic deleting button if as you say hate all biggotry.....kind regards ps,what you have to remember is that although its no excuse a lot of folk take their fitba seriously and some were feeling very raw about the result in manchester,so some on here came on and went out their way to provoke a responce which eventually they got,its maybe the sad side of the rangers and celtic but rightly or wrongly thats the way its always been and thats the way its going to be in many years from now. Mr Gaz, Sectarianism was taking over the Buckle up Manchester thread and it won't be tolerated on THL. My reasons for dislikging Glasgow Rangers are very simple, some of their fans are pure bigots, please note I did say some. The vast majority of GR fans are decent hardworking folks who I would get along with just fine. During my time in chat I talked to many of them and they're great craic, bit of banter and plenty of respect I've also during my visits to Northern Ireland gone out socially with GR fans, again, had great craic with them, wasn't tarred and featherd and set alight handcuffed to a lamp post and I can confirm they do not infact eat their own children, ok? The same thing applies to Celtic fans, there are idiot bigots there and in all honesty I would likely be quicker to close the door on their fingers and, again a small minority, will pervert certain things for their own small minded reasons. They also get my goat and I will shoot on sight. Now, as for racism in general. It can be a difficult sibject to moderate at times. I believe people are entitled to their own views as long as they're not being hateful or disrespectful to others, we're mostly grown ups and it's fairly easy to make a good point for or against something using civil language and not certain racist terms which are in my belief unacceptable. As a moderator on a site with 10,000+ members, I cannot see everything, that's the reality of things. There's a Report button on each post, which if used will alert the mods to any persons objection to that post. This is the best way to sort out something you disagree with, rather than "expecting" the mods to pick up everything, which simply won't happen as we have got jobs (I work two) and lives of our own also. As for me being a Nationalist, or Anti-British as was said before. Yes, I would consider myself a Nationalist, and I would be proud of that identity. This does not mean I agree with the policies of any political party in Nothern Ireland. I've always been against the violence that happened there, that belongs to another time and I'm happy the island is mostly at peace now. I have my own views about my own country which I do not foist upon other people. Now, the Anti-British jibe, I have many many British friends on various sites and here in Ireland. My family, to a degree, are involved in tourism here and British people are among the nicest you could hope to have stay, that's fact Respectful, courtious and mannerly, generally very nice people indeed. Again, if you see a racist post or remark, report it, it will be delt with. In the chance that it's not, then PM me, I'll make absolutely sure the moderating and admin team know all about it and that it gets delt with in a proper manner That is a promise. You're right about the Celtic Rangers thing. It is raw and it is there. I don't necessarily follow football in all honesty. I'm happy to see Manchester United and Celtic do well and may be interested to various degree in other teams. It's not the be all or end all of anything in my life. Many people would have posted if the situation involved Celtic and not Rangers, some of those people are the same who've been on high horses the past couple of days I do not consider my reply disrespectful. That I wasn't displeased Rangers lost isn't racist, or sectarian in my mind. I just don't like the way some of their supporters act. And even in the past some of their players, Gazza playing the flute comes to mind. That said, I've watched some games in which they've played some good entertaining football The opinion I expressed would pale in comparison to some others, Sunderland/Newcastle, Man Utd/Liverpool, etc. etc. Anyone remember the famous bit of tape of that Blackburn supporter when Dalglish was manager shouting abuse? Pointless. My opinion also most definitely pales in comparision to the violence that was seen in Manchester after the game. it is just that, a game. There you have it

There you have it Oaky doaky, Mr John Galway i will keep this short and sweet....i hope you stick to your word about being so enthusiastic to deal with all other racist and bigoted talk from other parties on here....we will see if your a man of your word on this i supose through time. As you say.. "you dislike Glasgow Rangers simply because some of their fans are pure bigots" but on the other hand you clearly have a strong affection for Celtic even although you admit that also there are some celtic fans of the same ilk....pure bigots Now you can see why it can all turn into a tit for tat thing but this doesnt concern me as on the whole i think your reply came across quite sincere about where you stand with all this...So Mr John Galway try to be consistent with your privilage of being a moderater on here and keep up the good work concerning all the racist and bigoted jibes we hear on here
david2363 42
Fantastic JohnGalway, a lot of words there in your defensive post, but contradictions all over the place. We are all entitled to believe in whatever religious and or political ideologies we want, and John, being a nationalist is a good thing weather a man is Irish, Scottish English or whatever BUT...you have set yourself up as a moderator on here, and moderators are there to keep the peace, not antagonise . In other words moderators should be moderate with their opinions and be careful not to take sides. That is all.
Guest JohnGalway
David, in short if you don't like my opinions, tough. I'm entitled to them. I hear plenty on here I don't personally like but I don't spit the dummy about it. If you've got a complaint against me as a mod I suggest you contact IanB, you're incorrect in saying I set myself up as a mod, Ian did.
