we do have the red light cameras BC over here. from what Sue was saying sounds like she got done by one. a good updated GPS system will warn you of them but if you like risking getting t-boned! but like speeding im sure were all guilty of it though. even if its if your stuck in the middle of the road and the filter arrow doesnt come on!

 

thats the thing speedy, they hide so you cant see them. if im going through a really built up residetial area, kids playing near the road, next to the playing field etc i'll often drop lower than 30. the people behind arnt too happy but it gives you that little bit more time just incase something happens.

when a copper clocks you on his radar, he has to pull you over and issue a NOTICE OF INTENDED PROSECUTION.

 

its only when you get spotted on a fixed or mobile speed CAMERA that you will get the N.I.P through your post.

No, thats not correct as they dont have to stop you at the side of the road if the laser gun is connected

to a camera as i have found out in the past , but they do have to send the evidence to you along with the n.i.p within 14 days

If you stay to the speed limits then you can smile at the copper who points anything at you. Im sure lots of people break the limit but dont moan when you get caught.If you were knocked down by someone speeding im sure you would have a good moan.

Talking about hiding with the speed camera. Someone who thought it unfair, bubbled the Derbyshire force for using an old van. It's been resprayed dark blue, although still registered as white. There is paint and cement crud on the back bumper, so it's just an old builder's van aint it?

The north wales police, (Chief Constable hates bikes) have a Discovery and horse box combination which they park up at likely tax collecting points.

The camera is in the 'oss box!! These have been pictured at work in "Motor Cycle news"
