According to the DEFRA website it's ok if your dog just goes running off on its own to catch a squirrel but you mustn't encourage it. Quote Link to post

Fetching good money now ,they tell me ,up to £3.50 its the fashionable meat to eat apparently.As a poster said the little sods can bite a bit ,one of my old dogs took a nasty nip right through the lip .Decent grub ,Ive tried it rather good!
