BlueCoyote 0
we've recently planted rape seed - never heard of it in my life till my husband came home with a huge bag of seed - anyway was planted in a few lots for the goats.. they've eaten most of it down to nothing, but still have some scattered about the place where seeds got away from us. can anyone post a picture of it up close so i can see if mine is the same as yours? i keep seeing pics of it from people in the UK but its always in the distance and has yellow flowers. ours dont have flowers..... yet? BlueCoyote 0
it looks like this, I took these just a moment ago. This is in my mom's vegetable garden.... she planted the rape seed before she planted her veggies. as a result its growing in among the corn and beans and squash.... and these are growing next to my own vegetable patch.. this one is a collard green((or maybe mustard... or turnip?? i get them all confused! the only thing i am sure of anymore is spinach!)), supposedly related to rape. it has the yellow flowers. my mom is pissed because she planted this stuff and no sooner did it grow than it went to seed lol i'm not bothered by it. i still managed to get a decent amount for our dinner tonight. sooooo.... are they the same or is this just a mistaken identity by the guys at the feed and seed store?
