Breeding Problems

Hello everyone,

 

You may have renembered my other post about my kits dying, well anyway my mate has a jill and we plan to breed it with the same hob but i have a problem,

When we put the jill in with my hob, when the hob trys to bite her on the neck etc... she just lies on her back and bites the hob on the ear and she is putting up a really good fight against him, please help she seems to be in season take a look...

Update: Ive took your advice Kay and Timeout but i didnt wait the full week :icon_redface:.

I tried again tonight and hey presto! They started breeding so ive just left them to it for a day and my mates giving me the jill now so everyone start counting, 42 days from now hoping for a good litter!

yes i think if you get the timing spot on theres no sore necks & scrapping, i honestly believe the hobs wrestling with the jill to get her to submit is why people experience scabby sore necks on there jills, he should take one grab , get comfey & just do it with no struggling, nice one scuzy hope all well this time :thumbs:

mine is 44 day's and still nothing,all the signs are there tho!

as anyone else experienced this?

How long did you leave the hob in with the jill notts??? she might not have taken first time they mated

we left them together over two weekends, she looks to be carrying,and has been nest making

it's now 45 day's today......
