SEAN3513 7
went to our favourite permission last night ( me and 28hodge). the lads from the farm where doing a bit of logging in the woods so we gave them a hand for a couple of hours and managed to cut split and stack a couple of tons of wood before we went shooting. we set off about 8.30 ish and had our first bunny within 5 mins , he was sat in the corner of the feild, and we managed to stalk him to about 35 yards, until he deceided to run off into the hedge, anyway, daft bugger came straight back out and sat at about 45 yards, clean headshot...............off to a good start. had a walk round wasn't much happening......so had a brew and waited til dusk. put the lamp on and tried again.....................it was fairly quiet but hodge saw one in the lamp and went in for the kill !!! nice stalk for about 20 yds......then nice kind mr bunny deceided to sit up and another good clean shot...........................all this about 1/2 a yard from the first one i shot!!!!!!! we then deceided to sit down on the river bank near to a busy warren...........but all was quiet !!!! we just laid prone in the grass ............. 10.15 pm and the ground was really warm...( for a change) anyway we where buggered after logging so called it a night and went home. very enjoyable night..................nice to just wander around in a t shirt instead of being wrapped up like a jumble sale!!!!! thanks for reading.............sorry no pics forgot the bloody camera!!!!!!! all the best sean and hodge Quote Link to post
