stillair1 16
I would suggest you keep the power to around 20ftlb with a .177 springer or ram as it is likely to be more shootable. A rapid may go upto around 24/25ftlb in .177 using 10.5gn pellets and retain accuracy. Bear in mind as you go faster, bore fouling can become an issue around the 1000fps mark or less. ChrisJones 7,975
ANY WEBLEY WITH A OX SPRING AND LOADS OF TWO PENCE COINS WITH A LOT OF PATIENCE .... I normally delete tuning information but I'll leave this one up. I'd rather fling my own shit, at a rabbit, than butcher an air rifle like that. Quote Link to post

stillair1 16
I do know of a couple of extreme rapids in .177 running extra heavy ammo Donny, (lionel, atheo) but was trying to keep it more mainstream. Quote Link to post

targa 5
Theoben eliminator or crusader both fac and can be bought in .177 Theoben Eliminator in .177 is NOT a good idea, .22 is a much better choice for the gun http://www.straightshooters.com/ourtake/ot...eliminator.html 16ftlbs at 50 yards with crow magnums! Bryan 1,362
V-Mach FAC kitted HW80 pushing out 22FT/LB with a gentle thump.Sends animals head over heels have had gun for 14 years and had bought it secondhand Edited May 23, 2008 by Bryan Quote Link to post
stillair1 16
Bryan has hit the nail on the head with spring/gasram power. Don't go for max power, a sweeter shooting rifle will put more in the bag. I had a fac pro elite running at a smooth 22/23ftlb. Mind you with dieseling it leapt to a useless 40ftlb until the piston head started to melt after half a dozen shots. Quote Link to post
