Guest Magwitch
As some of you may know i shoot a small fruit farm which is infested with Brer, the farmer wants as many shot as possible as the damage they do hits his pocket quite hard. Personally i have no qualms about shooting all year round but wanted your thoughts on the matter. Quote Link to post

SportingShooter 0
Of the Rabbits I shoot, I have no problems with the size or age of them. I aim and fire, all there is to it. Regards SS Quote Link to post
Rolfe 2
If you are there to remove rabbits.......then what difference does it make if they are little-uns or big-uns as long as they are culled humanely. I take many hundreds if not thousands of young rabbits every year from my contracts without the slightest hesitation. Rolfe. Quote Link to post
Hob&Jill 258
I dont personally as I do it purely for sport and enjoyment rather than anysort of pest control. Wouldnt have any problems doing it if I had to. Quote Link to post
Guest little_lloyd
As Rolfey says,, If you are asked to carry out rabbit controll any rabbit that you can account for should be shot regardless of sizeor age etc,, Little rabbits grow in to big rabbits and and at the end of the day still do damage. However if i had one in my sights on a more sporting ground i would leave it to blossom. Quote Link to post

Same here i do it to keep my permission, i don't particularly like shooting youngsters but the ferrets need feeding and the farmer needs to be kept sweet. Quote Link to post

Mr_Logic 5
Rabbits = vermin control, small rabbits eat grass too so, and burrow and cause problems, so they get shot along with all the rest. Quote Link to post
dicehorn 38
Half or three quarter grown - keep the saddle attached to the back legs fried in olive oil, garlic and spring onions - nothing better, Yes I shoot youngsters. Quote Link to post
