Gill netting.

Gave the Gill Net a dip this Morning and was very surprised at the end result.... Early Makrell!! If i used a smaller mesh i would've had a good catch.

The end result was 7 Mackrel 1 Mullet & 1 Sea Bass plus the Shark ..

Good result mate,summers coming Of course I would rather catch them with rod-and-line but your method does look very productive

You should have mentioned the flatty as well mate "Friends" tell me the bottoms of their nets used to be filled with flounders on some sorts of ground ,what size mesh and length net?

can you use a net on a river ? where would be best and cheapest place to buy one do you stand on each bank weight the bottom and float the top then just walk it up the river into the current or what ?

I think HFW only does it when the cameras are around Fish,makes good TV,when netting coastlines or estuaries its just as easy to run your net out on the mud-flats or beach at low water and fish the tide.
