a scottish break

well traditionaly the 12th of may is the time to cull the branchers (young rooks ) every year sees us travelling up to scotland for a few days to help out the famers by thinning their number a little there are thousands of rooks up here and they can do an awful lot of damage to crop fields so they need to thinned out and we have that job .a little get together of boys ratcherman, rob sharpe, mr teapot , nemo, nighttimenellie my dad and his pal allen , darren and his son micheal and me, well we arrived at tyhe farm on the friday around noon my dad was following on the saturday and was shooting for just the one day here are a few pictures from a great couple of days

i managed a dog fox out of some cover the lads pushed through

nemo caught a good sized brownie out of the loch and i made a prat of myself by getting a bit pissed saturday night and the rain came down so the boys went and got a few cans and we all had a few drinks reminising about a great couple of days

So the rooks werent ready then ?

they were ready we should have been a few days ealier and we would have had a good tally we still shot over 1000 rooks at least but they were all ready on the wing so shotguns did most of the damage all though the lads knocked a good few over with the airguns

nemo must have a blood lust cos me and him were out last night shooting young rooks , we managed 1001 for 47 shots :tongue2:

What can i say a cracking weekend with a good bunch of lads a bit of shooting snaring and a few laughs.

NEMO your cooking was fantastic that rabbit was the best i have ever tasted,as was your breakfast ROB.

WOODGA was not very well,i can't think why :whistling::clapper::drink::drink:

I did not take any photos of scotland as i forgot my camera :censored::censored::wallbash:

 

A big thank to all the lads for making it a weekend to remember

 

And a really big thank you to woodga :notworthy::notworthy: for inviting me along and who also put me up at his house.

 

My legs are still aching and i am struggling to walk,but it was worth it.
