GANKY EYES

last week i noticed the jack russel had ganky eyes looks real snotty green and yellow well it cleared up a bit and thought it got a bit better but then the two patterdales now have it and the russel has now got it back before i go to the vets on monday have any of you lads or lasses had this with your dogs if so what is it and how do i get rid.

 

Any info would be greatly appreciated

two of mine had it years back first one then the other ,vet give us some eye drops.

i think it was from dust in the straw bedding id been using, the dogs were licking each others eyes clean

and making them worse pawing at them ive always used shavings since fucithalmic drops if i remember right cleared up in days but i think there vets only.

Sounds like conjunctivitis mate, the golden eye eye drops will be the fastest remedy, although if not available at the time a strong, luke warm solution of salt water will be extremely beneficial. Conjunctivitis is highly contagious and transferable to humans, so make sure you wash your hands between treating each individual eye and when finished.

Fucithalmic Eye Drops: comes in a tube, from chemist. They are a soothing antibiotic ointment, prescription only: go to doctor say its for yourself, cheaper than going to vet. Works 100% and very fast: keep tube in fridge and use when necessary. Good for healing and soothing scratched eyeballs as well in bushing dogs.

Lets hope its not pink eye!lol Id wreckon go to the vets with one dog and get the dose for the whole lot eye infections ar highly contajous but as said can be down too beding what do you use?

id inject em with 4 ml of penicillin :thumbs:
