J Darcy 5,871 Posted January 18, 2006 Report Share Posted January 18, 2006 nice flies smudgey... when you spin the deerhair, if you butt it up real tight and add a little more the head will end up very dense and will produce a bigger "wake". i remember tying my first ever muddler many hyears ago, got deer hair everywhere except on the hook!!!! i didnt throw the loop slack enought and it was just spinning out onto the floor!!! Ill be tying and the Stanhope show and St Johns Chapel show this summer to. Darcy, for a bigger wake i use a deerhair body to.
