my terrier fighting

as it is my two patts have started fighting the c**ts won't give up any cure or will i just part them for good

I was in the same situation Sounder, my black terrier started to find his feet & developed a hatred for my russell who he had been kenneled with since a pup. The black was turning into a %110 earthdog so I decided to loan my russell out to a keeper. He's been there for 3 seasons now. You'll have to separate permanently or bite the bullet & put up with the shit. I'd recommend the 1st option.

Seperate them mate ASAP......It will end in tears otherwise , I have solid galved panels between my runs because terriers are determined little b*****ds. Ideally I never kennel terriers together as its not worth the risk but if there is already history between them I would really keep them apart...

Glad I found this topic as I was gonna post the same question as I came home to this last night.

Both bitches feeling very very sorry for themselves, one with a limp and fat lug and the other with a golf ball under her chin an blood splatters all over....and one very upset lass and son!!

The eldest bitch is very dominant and the pups stood up to her for a change so all hell broke loose, not a nice thing to see, especially for the baby and my lass.

I'll see how they go and one more sniff of bother then they'll be seperated.

Forgive me but;

NO. Seperate them NOW. Please. Otherwise, by the time ye have ye dinner and rub ye chin about how best to sort a new kennel ..... Ye won't need one. Next time they're allowed to resume this 'sniff of bother'? One'll kill the other. And it'll likely sniff just as soon as they get over their hurting. They'll stop feeling sorry for themselves and start seething that the other's still there, in their face.

Ever wonder where the term " Bitch Fight " comes from?

i had to part with the wee staff/russell for the same reasons mate... here's the pair of them about to go at it... best of it was is that it wasnt the staff/russell that caused it but he went because he was too big for what i needed

definately separate them bud (stevolad do the same !!!)my terrier bitch was kennelled with my cockers for a while when i had a lack of kennel space and they used to get on fine til one day i came home to a nearly dead spaniel and a terrier with a head the size of a football !she had puntured his ears his jaw back and front of his neck and his legs .after a couple of days apart i started walking them together again and she wanted more evrytime he came near she was going for him so kept them seperate .there is no doubt in my mind that if put back together she will kill him and its not worth the risk.no idea what kicked them off either .better to be safe than sorry lads

Common problem at this time of year.

Seperate them now and with some luck and time you might be able to get them in the field together come Autumn.

But unfortunately you wont be able to take your eye of them ever.

A lot of people once the hunting finishes for the Summer do a lot of bushing or road walking to keep their terriers in good condition. Whilst this is the correct thing to do it also makes for a hyper-active highly strung trouble maker.

Its hard but they will have to seperated, I came home from work a couple of weeks ago to find two of my dogs (the Shepherds) had been at it for 10 minutes in the garden and my wife had the unenviable job of seperating them. They are father and son and luckily enough they didn't include the terrier that was running free with them. Theres never a problem when they are out with me but if they are together with anyone else it starts and no matter what size the dog a fight is not a nice thing to seperate...................
