Hi iam after the name of a film i saw about 20yrs ago it was set in north yorks

about a young lad who try's to hunt down a wild big cat he lived at home with his dad and grandad

the cat kills his grandads gamecocks, but no one sees it but him so off he goes and swaps his rough haired lurcher

for an air gun and goes to hunt it.... its a bit like kes and iam sure it was made by channel 4 cant give anymore detailes

as i was very young at the time but anyone who saw it will no what iam on about, and might remember the

name thanks in advance....(the cat was a panther type thing not a big moggy)

No i havent to be truthfull i thought loads would know it dispite it being a bit old cracking film

would love to see it again... thanks tho

Bloody Hell! You've really hooked me now mate! The boy who played the lead used to work for me and was filmed around Accrington in Lancashire, not Yorkshire. He's called Linton (or Linden) Deardon. Cheers for bringing that back to me. Cheers, D.

As an afterthought, he had really smelly feet and we once made him walk home from a job rather than get in the van with us! He was a good lad though despite the feet!

The film was based on the book by Janni Howker, great film, I spent ages trying to get hold of a copy but no joy.
