LOGUNSOLO177 0
Looking at these pellets just wondering if anyone has had any good experience hunting with them? They are 7.5gr in .177 and I think that may be a bit too light! But if they have good penatration at 30yrds then they might be worth a try! http://www.defiantpellets.co.uk/products.htm Quote Link to post
ChrisJones 7,975
Not a fan. Couldn't get on with them, zero all over the place with no consistent groupings. That was in a Webley Stingray, TX200, HW97K and an HW100. Some swear by them but I'll be sticking to a decent lead round head. Quote Link to post
LOGUNSOLO177 0
Cheers for the reply chris, Are you talking about the other plastic and zinc or tin prometheus pellets cos they are shite!! I have tried them and they are no good but the defiant pellets are a lead alloy and I hear accuracy is pritty good with them. Just wondered if they would be suitable for hunting being so light? ChrisJones 7,975
I was referring to the plastic and zinc, apart from the shite groupings I had alot of plastic fouling inside the action. Also the tin ones were awful. Not tried these lead alloy ones. Might be worth buying a tin/pack and putting them through a serious test to see if the hype is to be believed. I'd love to hear your findings on them, either on paper targets or in the field. Also I'd be interested in down range ft/lbs through a chrono if you have the set up to test such a thing.
