Anyone having a super fast moult this year ?

I put my Harris down about 3 weeks ago and fattened her up from 2lb ( flying weight) she now weighs 2lb 14oz within the 3 weeks she has dropped 4 tail feathers 8 primaries and loads of seconderies is it due to the weather we are having just seems a lot sooner and quicker than last year.

Its weired as mine are all slow! its proably cause they all breeding birds and delay their Moult! having said that the Gos from last year has only dropped a couple of secondaries and a young Pere from last year is pretty much the same...

Could be something in this! a couple of lads came round this afternoon and both mentioned that their birds was like Feather dusters! one has a Harris dropping feathers all over the place and another with a Imprint Gos doing the same.. :hmm:....

Well Tony the reason I asked the question is because I had to go back to the vets yesterday for a check up and it was the vet who pointed out to me that my HH was moulting pretty quick from last time she saw her she was thinking of taking some blood for some reason :hmm:

Sounds like the Vet could be jumping the gun a bit Steve. I spoke to Andy Reeve last night who asked the same question! his birds are also dropping feathers all over the place too...
