bagforthebadgers 0 Posted May 8, 2008 Report Share Posted May 8, 2008 was out yesterday with my 2 dogs got down 2 some waste land before a little bit of woods where i take the dogs up 2 the fields let them off to empty then entering the woods they seen a cat and gave chase im about 30 feet away now when they catch it, i run down trying 2 get it off them but they wasnt messing with it. :sick: im expecting a vistit from some 1 (the police) . what rights have i got if any and could they make me get rid of my dogs ? Joe How have the police found out in the first place? sue 1 Posted May 8, 2008 Report Share Posted May 8, 2008 it happened to me a couple of years ago ,just giving them a run on the local field next thing my lurcher darted off heading towards some houses i called him but he never listened ,it was like slow motion when he caught the cat the field was full of kids playing football i know i shouldnt have done this but i disowned him Quote Link to post
SMOGGY 34 Posted May 8, 2008 Report Share Posted May 8, 2008 I believe the law states that no one can actually own a cat, So in the sence of killing a cat as long as it was an mistake and not an act of cruelty, and you wheren't intentionally hunting the cat, there is nothing they can do. The cat is the only domestic animal you can't own, its to independant, can you imagine how many cases they would be in country Your cat keeps shitting in my garden! your cat stracthed me, i want it put it down under the dangerous cat act, your cat hunts in my garden without my premission the list would go on. all the police would do is advises you that your dog wears a muzzle if its prey drive it that high you cant control it, just in case it attacks something else more serious ie another dog or child Quote Link to post
