dont take it the wrong way mate but it just looks very small an dark i no a fair few lads who keep all sorts of hawks an they have all got some kind mesh up on the roof an at least 2sides

11ft wide X 7ft high X 7ft in depth is a substantial size. And mesh on an aviary isnt actually recommended due to the possible damage to the birds cere and feathers. Bars are the way these days.

 

Its really good to exchange these ideas and question what people do though

All my Imprint Breeding pens are basically the same as this but with smaller windows and galvinised steel conduit bars at the windows! Bars are good and stop them smashing themselves up like mesh! Plus I can put my hand through bars to help bring the birds into condition......

R U MAD putting your hand through the bars if what ever bird u keep mate decides to lock onto your hand you could be in for some pain mate

Cheers for the warning mate it never ever crossed my Mind! it probably explains why I have three fingers missing . its good advice I shall take on board the next time I do it .......

i am planning on building 2 new ones this year,
