slyfox-mal 1 Posted May 5, 2008 Report Share Posted May 5, 2008 Hi guys it will be my birthday soon and i am going to treat myself to a air rifle what could i get for say 200 quid max i know its not a vast amount of money however its all i can afford. new or second hand im not bothered no need for any extras ie scope bipod or silencer just a rifle. i shall be useing it mainly for ratting down the allotment at a max range of about 25 to 30 yards any info would be greatfully received thanks mal Quote Link to post

If you're looking at second hand your options open much more but so do the pitfalls. Spend as much as you can justify... there really is no right or wrong answer without more specifics. slyfox-mal 1 Posted May 6, 2008 Author Report Share Posted May 6, 2008 cheers guys for youre input so far all i am after is a decent air rifle with near to full power i have a scope allready on my old mercury but its been a pain in the arse as it keeps kicking the scope off the rails i think maybe the rails worn . so i am going to try to find an open rear sight for the mercury as its no to bad a rifle but i really have set my sights so to speak on a newer rifle. cheers mal Quote Link to post

Benm 0 Posted May 6, 2008 Report Share Posted May 6, 2008 for 200 pound definately a wierhrauch seem some really nice ones on various forums for that sort of cash, make sure if you're getting a springer to check what power it has been recently chronoed at you may already know that but worth mentioning. Alternatively I have a BSA lightning that I want to sell at the moment, not a wierhrauch but a good gun nonetheless Quote Link to post
