SNAP SHOT 194
So people i headed of today to a field with my lamping pal, to let him take a few shots at some targets. The weather was excellent and the heat mirage was something else so we went back to his till it cooled a little, We set up a target board at 300 yards and i let him take his first few shots, Which he pulled all over the place. He's new to rifles but has shot shotguns for years. i was consistant putting the 58 grain v-max into 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches at three hundred yards of the ground on the shooting mat, prone. i was well chuffed that i was getting such good results. HAPPY DAYS. Quote Link to post

Mr_Logic 5
Snap, that's very good shooting. I have also found the 58gr Vmax to be hideously accurate... Quote Link to post

SNAP SHOT 194
Carrying on from yesterdays fun. i decided to go for a shot even though it was gusty just for the fun of it. The sun was shining nearly square onto me and made shooting very difficult. i set up at 500 yards for the craic and challenge in the wind and got this. the first four shots are 2 3/4 inches centre to centre. i'm shooting uphill at an angle of about 25 degrees. adjusting down a few clicks achieved this below the group. and then i adjusted to shoot inside the target. the wind was gusting at about 10 to 20 mph left to right........ not bad for 500 i think............here's it from the shooting point.................. I think not bad eh............ Quote Link to post

It was gusting and fooking hot today but what the hell i thought and it didn't turn out to bad. i had to give up shortly after as the heat mirage just started the target jumping in the scope........... nice to lob a few at long range........ lets you know whats happening out there.
