johnbaz 363
Hi 'Fraid i don't have any real guns, only airguns as i don't have an FAC/shottie licence Here's my collection of airguns, there are a few more that i've bought since the pic was taken and a few that are stripped for work doing.. I won't list them unless someone insists I have a small collection of Webley/BSA air pistols too but i don't think anyone would be interested in those.. Cheers, John Edited February 27, 2011 by johnbaz Quote Link to post
derry boy 2
The New Family Portrait..................From the top down Sauer .243 Classic Synthetic, Zeiss Diavari FFP 30mm 2.5-10 X 50mm PES Mod, CZ 452 Style .22lr, Leupold 30mm European 3-9 x 50mm CZ 527 American .22 Hornet with Nikko Diamond 30mm 4-12x56mm...and nice HANDMADE LEATHER sling Should take me nicely in to the next decade........The changes represent my first new gun in years, and the first time I have spent proper money on glass...and I like it I don't change or buy equipment very often...but I feel the addition of a Hornet to the line up is a change to make the shooting I do more enjoyable and financially sustainable... The only other planned change I would like to make, is to swap the PES for Lighter moderator, and looked at couple in R. Mcleod's Yesterday....just need to find another £230 quid Hawke Nite eye for sale 4-12x50 IR AO SR6 Forgot to mention............. Scrapped the Sauer in may and bought a Sako 85... Just forgot to update the family pics.. Oh.and sold the Zeiss and bought a Burris..... I love your sako 85 man thats one nice piece of kit. Would you mind giving me the exact details of the whole set up and a rough estimate on total cost. Was talking to a dealer today and he was looking £1256 for the rifle alone just out of the box. till bill 0
Baikal MP153 with synthetic Stock 3-Shot and a Sako Quad with the .22lr barrel fitted at the moment and Harris Swivel 6-9" Bipod, and i know everyone claims its a gimmick about sako with the burris scope , but its great little scope and seems to work well for me. also fitted to the sako is a moderator of some description i am unsure of the make but i got it cheap so i wasnt complaing it has a diameter about the thickness of your thumb and is 7 inches long , seems to work well on the .22 i have yet to try it through the 17hmr barrel. And Soon to be a new Centrefire of some sort!! How much was the baikal? Quote Link to post
till bill 0
My main rifle is my Remington VL SS Thumbhole .223 with a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x56 scope that has the NP-R2 reticle. I've a Butler Creek Comfort Stretch sling on it, also Butler Creek scope caps. Finished off with a 6"-9" swivel Harris Bipod. It's normal fodder now is Hornady V-max moly coated 40 grain ballistic tip's.Also shown... Leica CRF 900 rangefinder (brand spanking new since Friday!), Opticron Imagic BGA SE 8x42 bins, Callmaster digital caller, Primos Still Cottontail Rabbit call, Primos Mouse Squeeker, Foxcalluk caller, WAM call and last but not least a damn handy LED light for checking magnification/parallax settings. My other rifle is my Sako Quad with a .22lr barrel. It's got a Leupold VX-III 4.5-14 scope with Leupolds Boone & Crockett reticle. Same finishings as the Remmy. Eley subs are the order of the day. Also shown... My old rangefinder a Nikon Prostaff laser 440, five round magazine, Eley subsonics and Eley high velocity. Since I was taking photos... Here's my used and abused Baikal MP-153 semi automatic 12ga, a nice slip I got for it, and my cartridge belt with assorted shells, Eley AAA in red, Scullys gunshop own brand in green 36gm BB's (what I used the last night), finally Remington 50gm 0's. Also... Since I was at it... My lamping backpack, plus some contents. Handheld and scope mounted Lightforce 170's, insulating tape, screwdriver for lamp bracket adjustment, small box for spare bulbs (hard to see in that light), another small box for replacement back-up head light batteries, small screwdriver for connecting lamp eyes to battery terminals, opinel knife (no.7 or no.8 I forget), Deben 800ma charger, back-up headlight LED Lenser, AMA 18 amp battery. Got more gear but I can't be bothered digging it out How much was the baikal? Quote Link to post
