5 common buzzards

i was just thinking back to last year' i was out for a walk with my s410 and as i was walking along on a sunny day i looked up and i seen not 1 or 2 buzzards i seen five buzzards all circling in the sky i am all ways seeing alot of buzzards here in south derbyshire 'birds of prey are on the increase here what is it like in your area

there everywhere up here cant go a walk without seeing a buzzard a kestrel or a sparrow hawk there just everywhere its great

same here in the lakes.......................we always see the crows swooping at them when they get close to the roosts...........kestrels,sparrow hawks, perrigrines and of course the basenthwaite ospreys and the haweswater golden eagles..............................superb!!!!!!!!!!!!

i know what you mean' it makes the sport so much nicer seeing the wildlife and the countryside i just love to go for a walk with my gun its not just about what i shoot or kill its just a great way to get away from it all and enjoy the peace and quite

theres alot of red kites and kestrels here in my part of north yorkshire a few buzzards and sparrow hawks aswell when we go ferreting we always leave a bunny or two for them

couldn't agree more......................especially at this time of year with everything growing, hatching etc.

 

we went out on monday night and spent a good 1/2 hour watching hares boxing and chasing about.......it was every bit as good as the shooting.

 

better than the bloody telly!!!!!!!!!!!

alright devvo...............if you know where the red kites soar........try putting down some pieces of chicken (quite big , about half a breast at a time) and they will swoop down and pick them up........they don't land to collect the food.................its an awesome site to see..........we have done it a few times up here................good luck.

some people dont like counrty sports but the hunter knows the countryside like they never could.

Some think we are cruel and that and what we do is just blood sport' but the hunter respects wildlife and the countryside and of course there quarry is treated with respect . So next time mr. and mrs. anti this and that. see me or a fellow gun' just remember 'do not comment or pass judgement on things you dont take time to fully understand. we benefit the countryside alot more than joe public.........Well thats what i thinks anyway.and i think i said enough

i allways see a kestrel at my shoot when i go but last year there was a sparrow hawk eating a racing pigeon in my garden.

Definitely plenty of Buzzards in South Derbys, also a reasonable amount of Peregrines. These were given a huge helping hand when the falcon boxes were put on the cooling towers at Willington. Don't know if these are still being maintained, or are even still there now the power station is closed??

Perhaps the Peregrines are so well established now, that it doesn't matter either way? Kestrels? Well to me, there seems to be one hunting along every hedgerow.

loads of buzzards here in devon,i often see pairs of them circling in the sky looking down for there next meal,my favourite bird of prey,such gracious birds

a fair few sparrow hawks and perrigrine falcons too,i can sit and watch them for hours
