wildfowler-2007 0
We keep thinking about running the 01 Navara on veggy oil / diesel mix, but just daredn't do it! There's a spot in town that does the bio oil, it's 98p a litre. But, we dont' know anyone first hand that uses it, only people that know people that know people - you get what I mean! If we knew someone first hand we'd maybe venture into it! Don't want to feck the engine up... best car we've ever had and most money we've every spent on one!!! We've just bought a little run around...using that to compensate for having a gas guzzler!!! Shell :stupid: :stupid: :stupid: :stupid: :stupid: :stupid: :stupid: :stupid:
hairyface 211
diesel engines were designed to run on oil, and as long as yer vehicle has a BOSCH fuel pump as aposed to a LUCAS pump it'll be fine, i make bio diesel out of used veg oil(from pubs and cafes)and run my 1999 hilux on it 100% and have done all winter, havent had forecourt diesel in it since october, the power is the same, the mpg is the same, its better for yer engine as it lubricates it and my carbon footprint is 100% clean, its got better emissions than a brand new car, if yer cars have a BOSCH pump it'll cope with a 50/50(winter)20/80(summer) mix of veg oil/diesel with any ill effect, cheers hairyface

agrifabs 0
aldi and lidl - 95p per litre diesel in morrisons - 118.9 just bought 15 litres for £14.25 just bought 10 litres for £11.90 so that 25 litres of fuel for my landy for £26.15 £26.15 divided by 25 = £104.6 per litre!!! still expensive i know but its still cheaper than straight diesel.. landy seems to be running quieter too whats your views? rusty 0
i ran my escort van on 100% veg oil until it got to nearly the same price as diesel, only prob i had was fuel filter needed changing a couple of times due to oil being thicker than diesel and picking more crap up.
