ive had one now for about 4 years and there a good runner but the boot fuks up after a bit ...have to keep a eye on the gear box as mine cost me £900 to have a recon fitted...

and dont hit a bump in the road over 70mph or you will be then called shacking stephens.

Got 5 bf goodrich muds but not going to put them on untill september time, dont need them in the summer! getting a snorkel from billing in july for it.

Not going to bother with a lift seen 2 many problems with them! Boot floor is mint not a spot of rust on it full service history at 110k.

Had a 200 tdi before and i like the 300 alot more. Trying to sell the 200 at the minute but not having much luck.

Just thought id show ya all a few photo's of my disco i picked up today.

110k miles with fsh

its mint.

Will look great when i get my bf goodrich muds on it and a snorkel.

Very tidy,i've just bought a 1994 isuzu trooper LWB and its just as tidy, only looks a couple of years old.

anyone have any experience with these?comments good or bad would be appreciated.

Its the 3.1 diesel automatic,it is badged as an opel monterey.full electrics and leather interior.handling by lotus.

never had a 4x4,had a few audi's but got fed up with paying through the nose to fix faulty sensors and huge service bills.so i opted for something bullet proof and simple fancied a toyota hilux but this caught my eye.

Don't forget the slight angle of the valves in the 300.

Bl00dy expensive when the belt snaps or tensioner gives up.

This doesn't happen on a 200 - most you'll get is a bent push rod.

Nice motor though - check the front inner wings under where the shielded cables run (notorious for collecting water) and the rear floor - may look ok but lift the rubber mat & look properly plus the front sections of rear wheel arches, the bit hidden by the rear doors.

Parts are cheap & should run for ages IF properly looked after.
