heres some pics of a court i knocked up!!! :gunsmilie: It`s taken me some time about 6 months on and off but it`s finally got me ferrets in it :clapper: you can see in the pics there`s a feeding area but the buggers still drag it to their bed :wallbash: Anyway as for the advice i want to know if any of you have let two or more jills have their litters together in the same court/hutch i have got 4 jills about to drop as you can see there`s plenty of room for them all in the court but i don`t want them killing each others kits? any ideas?

Don't know about more than one jill mate but if your due to have 40+ young you can afford a few losses. :icon_eek: :icon_eek:

I did at one time keep my ferrets in a smiler set up(a converted aviary)these where a few of my problems.

They became so fit and fast i couldn't catch them when they came out the bury I'd be picking my nets up and they would be 2 bury's ahead.

They were so fast under ground the rabbits didn't get a chance to bolt,if i could have taught them to run the lamp i wouldn't have needed a lurcher.

However it dose have a + side to it.if you are into ferret racing you've got your very own stables.

I had to go back to the standard old ferret cage ,now when they have finished underground they stand and wait for me to pick them up,Just like me lazey feckers follow the NOSE not the feet. :hmm:

My opinion only can you imagine the fun sorry unpleasantness if a live rat where to get in there

how upsetting :whistling: :whistling:

very nice set up mate happy hunting.

Benny that is some set up, I don't usually post much but it makes my 6'x6'x4' hut look not as good as I thought. We sometimes forget hom much fitter the creatures are when we give them more room to run in.

GOOD HUNTING

lovely set up mate looks like a good natural enviroment with all the logs and stuff to explore as para said they will get super fit in there , is the bedding box three seperate boxes or one big box with three holes i had some kits in a big box like that last year and they would sleep in one corner and shit in the corner furthest away it was stinking in no time i would consider smaller boxes for the kits , also if you get 40 kits in there it will be murder to open the door when they are about 5 to 6 weeks they will be running every where trying to get out . good luck with them
