Guest JohnGalway
This is going to be short, simple and to the point. Tonight I've spent a large part of my evening trawling through unread topics. There was a large amount of text talking. This is unwelcome on this website. There are Announcements posted all over this website saying so. When you joined this website you agreed to abide by it's terms and conditions. From now on. I'm no longer editing text talk posts. I'll be DELETING them. In short and very plain English, if you text talk, you will not get to have your say. I'm not wasting my time with it any longer. Some exceptions will be made for new members. All the best, John Quote Link to post

tote 854
Good man I'm not a fan of text talking and it only takes a few seconds to write it out in full. But why have some exceptions? Should we not be treated all the same? As you pointed out new members have to agree to abide by the conditions so can have no excuses. Quote Link to post

Hi Tote, The reason I say some exceptions (and I should have also mentioned dyslexia and possibly other things as well) for new members is take this scenario, new member joins, s/he is mad into airguns but text talks all the time. So s/he comes right into the airgun section not having read any stickies or guidelines, as many do not. Off s/he goes full of enthusiasm and bang, post deleted, enthusiasm would not last long. I would prefer to point them in the right direction than close the door on their fingers I'm not that much of a facist/power hungry mod/dic(k)tator, delete whichever applies (close though ) All the best, John Quote Link to post

I know what you mean, my mum is 70 and takes longer to decipher her meaningless ramblings, I generaly have to phone her to ask what planet she is currently on. The "twisted game of countdown" made me laugh though cheers mate Quote Link to post
