ade33uk 86
nothing special before hand just make sure she has a constant supply of dry food she will eat what she needs , what i have found though is the kits can take a lot out of the mother after the birth and the jill can go quite skinny , then i give her some of that ferretvit stuff in a tube just to keep her going . Funfuret 1
No milk as ferrets are lactose intolerant, you can use a dash of goats milk or kitten milk with water but definatley NOT cows milk Lactofree cows' milk is, as the name suggests, virtually lactose free (less than 0.055%) and okay for ferrets. If you look here ( http://www.nationaldairycouncil.org/NR/rdo...6/0/TABLE10.pdf ) you'll see that goats' milk isn't significantly lower in lactose than normal cows' milk. Quote Link to post
