Recommended Posts

this is bought on by the thread on bull breeds section realy as there atre some awsome weatons on there.

iv never realy had any contact with weatons in any sence . i did talk to a guy in irland last year that swers by them as pure or as lurcher x. the storys he told me about them realy did get the joices flowing .

o im asking realy for any body with experiance of them to tell us about them and what to expect from them .

why dont you seen many of them ? it would make a nice change from all the bull cross stuff we all have and love.

all the best matt

the wheaten x is a very popular lurcher in ireland they are a great fox dog any wheaten cross i have owned would take a fox day or night no problem. They are also very good "drawing" dogs a good allround cross :good:

Here's a wheaten owned by a guy i see out now and then, its a good dog, no actually its a great dog, fast enough smart marks well and tries real hard on anything, we spent a day together ferreting without nets to the dogs and his bitch picked up 9 to my bitches 1, mind you this dog is 2 and goes out 3-4 times a week.

You can notice an aggressive streak in her mind!
