para1 11
noddy, may be an idea to post your location, as that may get you buisness nearer to home, in fact why not put all that in your signiture box, so it comes up at bottom of all your posts dose that mean we can sell our ferrets anywhere stubby ? Good idea
Gav 1,708
That is a peice of art, but is there a laying box I cant see? We have been keeping chickens for years and find a laying box stuck out the back with a flip lid makes it easy to collect the eggs, chickens also like to lay in a comfortable peaceful position, I normaly make the laying boxes 1'x1' square they seem comfortable with that. You may have included one I cant see but just a thought if you didn't for the future. Nice bit of work all the same

kvnmcwebn 0
i built a similar one last year, not as tidy as that but a bit bigger. I had 6 hens that were all laying really well and free ranging. the only problem was that the hens developed a taste for dog food and one day my terrier snapped at one then he got a tasted for them and killed the lot. whats the easiest way to enclse a henhouse like that with chicken wire? how high does the wire need to go? dogman541 0
hello u lot. my mrs and our neihbour have decided that they'de like some chickens for the kids, better than watching subaru's and drug dealers running about. . so they've cut a big whole out of the 10 x 4 shed and added a run of 7 x 3 made out of trellis. i've been keeping my distance as i'm a city boy unfortunately for me and ''so are they'' i ain't got a clue about this nor have they.i fear they will lose the chickens they get to a fox. any advice on setup would be appreciated. even though any additional work will be done by me. they witnessed me use a hand saw the other day and asked if i could cut a whole out our roofs for a window/extra bedroom!!!!!! don't worry i'm not going down that road.i spent 4 years straight from school working for a roofer but realised i couldn't make the grade because i had a conciense. but i'm keeping that quiet they'll be wanting a granny flat!!!oh my god. sorry about the spelling.
