Mine's the same! I think if they are allowed in the house, you just have to get used to it. Mine gets combed everyday outside. Also i've noticed his coat is much improved and casting less since he started getting oil of evening primrose 2-3 times a week at Xmas time. I try to keep mine in parts of the house where there is no carpets and furniture to climb on.

I wouldn't be without the wee git, he's a real character but I do see the attractions of a dog with a darker coat. :clapper:

i only bath my dog when he stinks which aint very often,it's bad for their skin if you bath them every week(if you use shampoo)my dog lives in the house and hair always falling out, just gotta put up with it.

iv'e always got the vacuum out to keep on top of it

margarine in their food?interesting but that cant be good for them, can it?

too much heat in the house dogs are too hot skin drys up then they molt

Shouldn't bath dogs at all mate, loses the essential shit in their coats.

As far as casting coats goes, my puppy sheds shitloads of hair each day, whilst his parents, fed etc exactly the same, don't. Cheers, D.

Any dog that sheds hair should be destroyed

the margarine thing is true a couple of times my lurcher has had the tub off the worktop & a few days later his coat was gleaming but dont know if long term it would have any adverse effects, maybe someone with a good understanding of canine nutrition could comment. ATB Pritch
