danny boi 0
when i bought my hw80 it came with 2 scopes, i put the other on today a 3-9x40 in stead of the 4x40 but while zeroing i was putting 4-5 pellets in a 3/4 inch group a couple even pellet on pellet but then every couple of shots it would be way out to the left! i thought it might have been down to me so i had a rest and went back, i had the rifle on a bipod and even padded under the butt just to be sure but the same thing, tight grouping but then way out left! has anyone got any ideas what the problem could be as i'm rifleless untill its sorted as i wouldnt want to take the chance shooting at live quarry with this happening. cheers dan Edited April 26, 2008 by danny boi Quote Link to post

Deker 3,478
You're pulling it, something is not screwed on tight or something is loose inside the scope, the obvious answer is as above..put the old scope back on! Quote Link to post
LOGUNSOLO177 0
What pellets are you using mate? and are they all in good condition? Quote Link to post
FJager 0
I'll go with Deker, sounds like something is loose. Quote Link to post
SNAP SHOT 194
Something loose, would be my no. 1 choice too, but before you change scopes check the fittings, mounts tight etc, if the problem is not found change scopes as above and try again, if no problem, it could be the scope internals in the first scope. Malt 379
Another point is that springers & bipods don't really mix due to the recoil, you'll get a different zero when you use one. Try resting on a bean bag or pillow. Another thing to check is the scope mounts, it's best to have a one piece mount on a springer. Quote Link to post
danny boi 0
cheers for all the replys fellas just looked ove the rifle and the only thing i can notice is one of the trigger guard screws is missing? could this be the problem? ill try the pillow idea aswell! cheers again dan Quote Link to post
FJager 0
Dan if the trigger guard screw mounts into the actual rifle which it qiuet probably does, could well be the issue. Quote Link to post
