Stevebeno 0
Today started out pritty poorly for me having taken the dog out for a walk nearby to return to my new motor, the window was in pieces amongst the gravel and the content's was missing....scummy f"""kers! Any how this did not stop us going out on the lamp. My lurcher of 6months comes on all my shooting hunting trips and this was no different i bunddled him into the back of the truck with a great viewing spot. He was keen to get at the rabbits which we lamped (to my suprise). My mate took a shot at a rabbit over 70yards away which he clipped (unusual). the rabbit bolted down the bank with a slight limp, it would not steady for a second shot.in the rush i got the dog out the back and walked into the feild at this point the rabbit was best part of 40yards away. Ripleys ears popped up i slipped him and like a rocket he took after the rabbit at the second attempt he had the rabbit firmly between his teath. After a little bounce about rip retrieved the rabbit (alive) straight to hand!!! Although not the prefered way of getting the rabbit slipping the pup ensured an injured rabbit didnt suffer. he is my first dog and with his first slip he produced the goods!!!
