Stevebeno 0
My lurcher pup of 6months is out growing the house so i have begun the groundwork on a caged run and sleeping compartment out in the garden. i feel he isnt going to like it at first but hopefully he will adjust. he is a greyx bullx wippet and at 6months he is best part of 22" what advice do you guys have on the size i should construct my run to?? Secondly how are your dogs kept, indoors/outdoors. Does where a dog stays / sleeps effect his hunting abilitys? Quote Link to post
Guest little lurcher
hi steve, im a kenneller and my dogs coats show how well they cope , although saying that mine are in heated runs, they have raised benched sleeping areas with duvets as beds, they do sometimes rip them up though , my dad uses same method but uses shavings , i want my dogs warm dry and comfortable , they work hard for me so i find thats the way i keep mine , im now having 2 new kennels built and could pm pics when its here? i find if they have been out working the very least they deserve is warmth and comfort , i had 1 whom was a whinger when first out but i ended up putting them out in day , letting them rest or play or feed in there then bringing back in , doing that over a small period of time makes for better neighbour relations good luck Quote Link to post

Guest Ditch_Shitter
It'll be interesting to see how long it is before ye first ask for advice on what to do about the nerve wracking noise which is destroying ye neighbourly relationships - to which the time honoured responses will be that ye should chuck water at him, before buying an electric collar and blowing his head off. Then, when he gets stolen, ye can swear blind it was " Thieving 'p***y' scum b*stards! ", and every shell suited little Chav on here can whole heartedly agree. Not having a pop at you personally, mate. Just reading the tea leaves of history. Quote Link to post

T78 4
all my dogs are kenneled outside.no problems with them at all. they're quiet, easy to clean and have bags of room. your dog should be fine outside, altough he might not know it at first and will sing like an opera singer for a day or two!lol Quote Link to post
