Know exactly how you feel Ant, hope you're feeling better today.

Am just getting ready myself to go over to Leeds, to a 24 year old lads funeral, met him through dogs so there may be some on here who knew him too.

Lemie's (LV) funeral at 12 today, if you knew him am sure you'll spare him a quiet minute today.

Death is nothing at all

Death is nothing at all.

I have only slipped away into the next room.

I am I and you are you,

whatever we were to each other, that we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name,

Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.

Put no difference in your tone,

wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow,

laugh as we always laughed

at the little jokes we enjoyed together.

Pray smile, think of me, pray for me.

Let my name be ever the household word

that it always was.

Let it be spoken without effort,

without the trace of a shadow in it.

Life means all that it ever meant,

it is the same as it ever was.

There is unbroken continuity,

why should I be out of mind

because I am out of sight?

I am waiting for you

somewhere very near

just around the corner.

All is well.

You're a star strong stuff. thats broke me up reading that again!! this is the poem I stood up and said at my brother s funeral last year! I changed just a couple of things and shortend it slightly but it came out good and ok. its was a Hard job holding it together when everyone around me was falling apart but I managed it and finally went and boke up on the last verse, the poem is class and one I'll treasure ....

I believe that true friends are quiet angels who sit on our shoulders and lift our wings when we forget how to fly.

you never know it could be the friend there all along

as they are never gone

"If you're alone, I'll be your shadow. If you want to cry, I'll be your shoulder. If you want a hug, I'll be your pillow. If you need to be happy, I'll be your smile... But anytime you need a friend, I'll just be me."

make new friends BUT never forget the old ones xx
