pritch 335
personly i would leave till its about 10 months its up to you but you'll be the one kicking your self if it starts to open up & you've put money & time into a dog that is no use to anyone why take the chance use the next 4 month to work on obedience will make it a better dog when it does start hunting. Guest lurcher#1
hello mate,my pups first encounter was during a walk over my parents fields, she spotted a pheasant, gave chase, but once it got airbourne it was game over,i presumed she was ready for the fury things, she was 9month, and being a whippet cross she was pretty much fully grown,(smaller breeds are fully grown quicker than larger breeds),i think you should make sure your pup is fully grown before you slip her on anything too dificult as bones and muscle are still developing, ive only just had mine on the lamp and she seems to be doing ok,if yours is fully grown have a flick on the lamp and see what happens. Im new too lurchers so if my info is wrong then some one please correct me Quote Link to post
