DDD 4
What's the problem with the 4WD? Trying to remember if it's the same setup as mine - Fourtrax
lgray88 4
i havent gotten the quad yet ,but the guy just said that there is a problem with the 4wd . its a older version foreman 400 1998 i think , my mate said that they had a problem with theres slipping he said you could hear a clicking noise like the splines on the shaft just clicking over thats was if you were ever towing anything , ill probably strip the quad down and give the frame a coat and weld up any problem areas , then sort the engine out hopefully it is just what you say about water or muck in the carb that can be sorted in no time , the 4wd is another question sure ill get somthing off the other quad that will help out this one i have bought liam
shortshot 0
The rear driveshaft has a sliding splines in a cup joint which are prone to losing their splines! Result no rear wheel drive which due to weight distribution means v.v. little off road traction (unless you reverse everywhere.) The job is easy enough fix with a haynes manual and about £180 worth of parts. You cant weld this one as it needs to slide with suspension/swinging arm motion.
bolinger3 0
just had that problem with my foreman. its now in front wheel drive, getting new parts for it now. towing heavy loads tires out the drive and splines. good luck with getting yours back in order. will
