charadam 0
evening all just put a 8x56 S&B onto my new CZ223 and trying to Zero. Scopes are designed to line up "somewhere" about the middle of their range of adjustment. Only a suggestion, note your starting point and count the number of turns the left/right knob takes from end to end. If your existing 9" left point of impact is not roughly in line with where the count of turns puts it, then maybe you have a scope problem, or a mounting issue. I would like to suggest that you boresight the scope before shooting too many more rounds. Set the rifle up in some kind of rest (bricks, wooden blocks etc) so it won't move, remove the bolt then line the bore up on a good clear mark a long way off. Now set the vertical scope line to bisect the aiming mark but, once again, if your scope adjuster is turned very far from the "middle" of its turns, then maybe there is another problem. Incidentally, the adjustment value on the 8x56 is usually .36" per click at 100m. Good luck! Edited April 17, 2008 by charadam Quote Link to post
woz 260
1 click is an 1/8 inch at 100 yards........if you dont want to waste amo bring your target into 40 yards....zero it at that.... Quote Link to post
charadam 0
From the S&B website : http://www.schmidtbender.com/specs8x56.htm Click value .360" Quote Link to post
jamie g 17
take the bolt out the back of the rifle look though the bore and then the scope if both are on the target board then that is a start. i done it this way at 100 yards with hmr and i got it on the board 1st shoot then after 6 more i was smack on. if you find it hard then try it closer 1st then go back to the range you want it at have a look on the net to you mite see how many clicks it is on s&b website Quote Link to post

SNAP SHOT 194
1 click equals 9.1 milimetres at 100 metre or .360" good kuck Quote Link to post
dicehorn 38
1 click is an 1/8 inch at 100 yards........if you dont want to waste amo bring your target into 40 yards....zero it at that.... Yup .........bring your target up close to start with at the 40 yds mentioned above. At one click equalling .360 inch. Your 9 inches left at 120 yards will need about 10 clicks to the right to put it on target with the bullet straight now but a little high. Peter Quote Link to post
garyw 0
check your mounts/rings and adjust them first to save the windage adjustment in your scope. Quote Link to post

v-max 2
Hello get someone with experiance to help you.I bore scope mine for a start when putting on an optic & start at 50m.If you look at your turret it should tell you on it how much it moves per 100yrds & there is no need to set target way out at 120yrd/m.I set mine at 80/90m as so i can see the 1" target & have it just grouping the top of 1" target ie on the line. You must stuggle to see the target at 120yrd & i have an old S&B 2.5x10x56 which is a moonlight/stalking scope & the cross-hairs block the target for me 100m but aint complaning as its taken some stuff for me over the years but i would like to up grade to a PM11.
