WAITING/SHIT ON ETC

Just been sat on the computer for over 3.5 hours waiting to go onto some permission a mate has picked up a few years ago, been on it before, but not seen the lad in a while, so thought id go along to do a bit of bushing to bring the lurcher pups on. Anyhow he said hed be here at approx. 9 am, after numerous phonecalls and no answer, and running out of milk for cups of tea, got me thinking that even though ive had my fair share of problems over the past few years, is it worth bothering.

Has this type of thing ever happened to many of yous before? Even things like being shit on used messed about etc, would be interesting to hear your storeis and thoughts on this annoying subject.Im sure they will be a good few, so come on lets hear them

Here is what I find works:

 

1) Go out on your todd and enjoy running your dogs/working ferrets alone

 

2) Only arrange to go out with people who you can trust are going to turn up when you arrange something with them.

 

I haven't got the patience to be constantly being let down by others so I give them one chance and one chance only, if they blow it, then thats the last time they will have an invite from me!!

i have same approach .and when i do arrange to go out with somone i stick to time arranged if their not their its up theirs and i go it alone then atleast no time wasted sat twiddling me thumbs.timewasters

Too True mate, Too true. Seems when i go out on me todd i always catch, and its not just for the sake of killing(which i dont agree with unless for Pest Control) like you say ive had to learn 1 chance,(and beleive me this lads had loads) and thats it GAME OVER FOR YOU MATE. Anyother peolpe with similar experiences.

if i say im going some where i do it or some thing needs doing i just get it dun, cant do with dickhead that change the mind like the wind be it male or female,it they mess me about they get a fcuk off tablet, to old to play that type of game ,like things straight up front its the only way,(dont do to others which you wouldnt like dun to yourself)

About ten years ago my Fell and Moorland rep told me about a guy who had some digging permission and wanted to swap days out for some ratting. I thought it was to good to be true (it was). I drove 90 minutes to meet the bloke only to find he didn't have any digging land but lots of rabbiting permission He didn't drive and wanted me to pick him up and ferry him around, needless to say I wasn't interested and politley declined his offer as I had ratting and rabbiting land 20 yards from my doorstep. During our chat I asked him if he was going on the London march as our F&M branch had hired a coach to take us all, he told me he was too busy (the guy was unemployed) which told me a lot about him. A few weeks later I read a letter in countrymans weekly from this guy slagging off the younger generation and their lack of commitment....tosser.

Unfortuntely I can be too trusting, for several weeks I went drinking with Wilf in a bar called The Mincers Ring, Wilf told me he went for the atmosphere and a Taboo and coke.........will I never learn :kiss:
