snypercat 20
so thats 1 jsb diablos or air arms fields 2. hn ftt 3. acupells thanks guys you have help loads saved me lot of time money has any one used rws holow points ???? read in mag there good to ??????? Yes I know I have spent a fortune trying out loads of different pellets and as I say JSB at 12ftlbs are perfect in my HW100 though I have tried Weihrauch Field and Target, Daystate FTs and Bisley long range golds, all very good but work out more expensive . As for the RWS that is my first choice for rats , best for accuracy again in my rifle. Another thing with the JSBs is they are very quiet, may sound an odd thing to say but with the HW100 being so quiet its self you can here the pellets go! Quote Link to post
stone-cold 0
im not an air rifle enthusiast like most of you guys, far from being an expert but i use FTT in my HW90 on summer evenings stalking bunnies and i think there the bizz Quote Link to post
SEAN3513 7
so hard trying to find pellets that work for you................and your gun!!!! i swear by acupells ( with pellet lube) very consistent and dont seem to suffer as much skirt damage as the recent tin of AA fields, tried them the other night at 35 yds target, all over the place ( well 2" grouping) re-loaded with acupels 3/4" groupings......same gun, same target, same driver and same conditions.......different results (fired 20 of each, to give fair comparison). acupells are a little shorter then fields.....dont know if this makes a difference?? but the fields seem to impact a little harder? always a compramise. probably not much help but this is what ive found all the best sean Quote Link to post
andy s410c 61
AA Field .22 i have no problems with them in my 410c however i do prep them.I have had the odd one with a damaged skirt, bits of swarf but nothing major yet .As a teenager with my HW,s 35 & i always used RWS Superdomes & found them to be a excellent pellet but the AA Field @ 16.2 gr is a hard hitting, accurate piece of lead...well for me anway Quote Link to post
celticwar 1
aa fields should i go for 5.52 or 5.51 ????? does it mater that much Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
aa fields should i go for 5.52 or 5.51 ????? does it mater that much It's down to your barrel..mine prefers the 5.51, I'm running at 26ft lb and the 5.52 are too tight up my barrel...I loose about 1/2-3/4ft lb if I use the 5.52! SEAN3513 7
I use JSB exact Diabolo in my HW100 .22, as seen here http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Ea4PsyFzRuQ .I find the same thing as Deker the AAs are accurate as JSB as long as they arent damaged but the bent ones don't go straight in my rifle.I use RWS Hpoint for ratting just to plug my video again here http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=brZfAFvlBD0 air arms pellets are made by jsb. they just have the air arms name on the tin thats all its like some other places that have stuff made by the same firm. but there brand is on it. i wouldnt use biz mags in standard 12ftlb 22cal air rifle but i use them in a 12ftlb 177 air rifle to 3o yards and then use lighter air arms ones in the 22 to 30 yards and in the 177 to 40 yard in fac air arms are good to 28ftlb to 30 ftlb as long as the skirts are not damaged and biz mags 30ftlb and over. but i stick to 30ftlb in fac anyway and never go over it. wastes to much air and for not any gain really. as a extra 5 ftlb isnt really going to kill a rabbit at a greater distance then the 30ftlb will. and your be surprized how many less shots you would get by just upping the power 5ftlb to 35 from 30. I was well aware that many pellets are simply branded and very few firms make their own, but I was not aware JSB made the AA pellets. JSB (czech repeblic) make AA and DAYSTATE pellets..
