Agent Provocateur

Recommended Posts

Traditionally, an agent provocateur (plural: agents provocateurs, French for "inciting agent") is a person employed by the police or other law enforcement body to act undercover and entice or provoke another person to commit an illegal act. More generally, the term may refer to person or group who provokes another to perform a wrong or rash action, the deliberate purpose being to incite wider conflict or harm.

Makes you wonder.....

Well if one is found to be so,then OFF WITH HIS HEAD I SAY,this site has really got messed up in the last few weeks. As you know I'm Irish and we dont have a ban but I still try not to put up pics and posts that may still provoke controversy. The 1 post I regret putting up was when I dug the terrier out and took a snap of him dead.I dont think it was necessary, but its done now so let it lie I will.It seems theres a mob of blokes on here determined to undermine posts from anyone,it makes me think sometimes there may be an underlying aim in all this.I could also be a little paranoid.I think after a few months of reading posts here its quiet obvious that some members dont do half the hunting they say they do,I have met a load of real good blokes here,I have renaiged on meeting some more,I have made great friends and am due to make a few more this year from invites and arrangements to meet up.There are a few on here though that do feed from the shit they stir up,just like MULLET :D To me it shows they are shallow, sad and an embarrasment to the sport to which I live for. They are the reason I am very cautious to either write or reply posts to strangers. It wasnt like that a few years back.Sad to see how its turned.OH WELL

Stabbist; When I Moddied in Chat, mate, I referred to such people as " Aggitators ". (Alright; I got fed up with explaining the differances between " Flaming ", " Threading " and just plain being a patent c***) So I settled on the catch all of " Aggitating ". And Banned them.

What has been noticed is there are some lads shouting VERY loudly about free speech and feck the ban etc. And fine, that's well and good. But think about this for a second please.

We do not know everyone on this site personally.

It's a well known fact hunting sites are monitored by anti hunting lots and other groups, think we can all agree on that? It's also known that these types plant people on hunting sites to try to get information to further THEIR cause. So, I'd give this word of caution. Just because a fella shouts f**k the ban, and loudly in some cases, it does not right away mean that he is your friend and on your side.

It's very possibly he is planted here to gather information, facts, names and photographs of people breaking laws to further his own anti hunting aims.

Please, please, please think about that.

I'm not a dog man, BUT that does not mean I agree with any ban or that I think any fella who enjoys a hobby or sport should be persecuted or prosecuted for doing so.

Use your heads lads, for Gods sake THINK before ye post.

I personaly don't post pics of any game either alive or dead. Just pics of holes and dogs keeps, the peace. I'd say it would be quite difficult to weed out the arseholes and antis though. I think the mods do quite a good job. But they can't be online 24/7. As has been said be realy careful what pics you post , and yes I think some pics are posted more out of ego boosting than anything else. JMO

It does make you think alot more about what your writing i guess, it is easy to forget that the whole world can see these posts.

I bet someone will accuse me of being an anti tomorrow! haha.

I think we are all in agreement that the hunting ban is an ill thought out piece of legislation, but like it or not we all have to abide by the law whether we like it or not, or should try to at least.. Certain people posting on here obviously are carrying on with what they have always done......regardless of what cruelty they may inflict by hiding behind the banner F*CK THE BAN.

There are people "planted" on this site whose sole aim is to obtain pictures and information and to aggitate members to the point of disclosing information that they can use to further there aims in destroying our way of life. All potential posters of graphic pictures and details would do well to bear this in mind as all you are doing is banging nails into your own coffin.......and it wont be long before your "sport" is dead and buried.

If you think for one minute that everyone who posts on this forum and talks about your favourite sport is your buddy and your friend you are sadly mistaken..........just think about this next time you are jumping on the band waggon about freedom of speech.........Do you REALLY know the person you are supporting is the genuine article?
