Royston2 0 Posted April 15, 2008 Report Share Posted April 15, 2008 hi i dont want anyone to think i scrimp on me dogs i want the best for them always so sometimes i just use a bit of common sence...My beddy grey bitch has i think broken two toes on her back right she has had a couple broken before but never been to laim just rested her and kept an eye that was fine but this time the bitch is hopping lame wont bair any wait it is swollen and hot so am thinking of taking her to the vets after speaking to people that have done similar the vets have always splinted and casted the dogs for a long period and this is for a broken toe full leg cast is this nesesary i dont know...Any advice please..... Im no expert mate but if her foot is feeling hot and its swollen i would be thinking it may be more than broken toes ,especially if she cant bair any wait at all on it. thats Have you checked that she has nothing stuck in her foot, if she has it would explain it feeling hot and swollen as it might be infected. may be try soaking her foot in some try and draw out what ever may be stuck in? this is just my opinion. hope it may be of use.
