There was a good thread on here a while back about GSD x type lurchers very good and with loads of info

as somebody has pointed out already import is the way forward and not the show stuff.

Believe it or not Polish and former East German lines are supposed to be very good (work for next to nothing....ooops!)

in fact in Germany there was a big hoo haa when i lived there about the "Standard" of the breed

because the West German type has been bred with a sloping arse and the problems it brings with it

and the East German type is not so sloping and has more "working" lines in it

BTW i'm no expert on this breed but know a few people in Germany who breed for working and not for show

iv found out the breeding 2 my bitch , thanks 2 frank who owned a sister 2 her who was unfortnly poisned , like most gussed she is collie x whippet fair play lads 2 those who gussed right.
