End of Season/Summer

Think this was covered last year, but with it being the end of the season :( what does everybody do with their dogs, whether it be terriers lurchers? ie diet, excercise/conditioning - as stated on another post about some letting their dogs ly in a kennel all summer and then expecting them to work full pelt come next season. Including changing protein levels/carb levels etc. road work, agility, training, bringing pups on etc.

I think any newcomers would welcome some good honest advice as what to do and how to go about it, as to get the best out of their workers. Its a lot of trial and error, but being put on the right path would definately benefit, instead of picking a book up.

Have to agree there Scent. Ive already started cutting my protein down, though still got the dogs out at least once a day. Am taking 2 of the terriers out once for a bit of a run about. The two lurcher pups are going out with my bushing terrier either early morning or later in the day a couple of times a week to try and flush a few rabbits. And some obidience for the lurcher pups, a few time a week. And inbetween will be learning to drive for some good new permission ive aquired. :boogie: Then later on in the year theyll be hitting the myxi a bit but not too much
