hairyface 211
what can i say, the day started great i got :running dog addiction: by mr darcy, badger digging by david harcombe, a couple of boar hunting dvd,s and my main pressie was a TIKKA T3 LIGHT .223CF with a bipod and aBUSHNELL6-18X50 dusk& dawn scope, my lass has paid for i just have to pick it up tomorrow .HOW COOL IS THAT but at 6pm lastnite afta a good walk one of the plummer terriers and the bullX dog started scrapping in the back of the hilux, fortunatly for the terrier i got it stopped within 30 secs and got him of to the vets asap but its touch and go, he,s gonna ring back later with more news. To be honest i thought he,d gone, fixed stare,no heartbeat, but i got him upside down and all this congealing blood came out of his nose/mouth and he started coughing so got him warm and to the vets. One question though, when the terrier gets back will i have 2 keep an eye on them both and will there any annimosity between them look forward to replies hairyface Quote Link to post

Guest knocavoeboy
wee box in the back for the terriers to go in the worst is they never know thier own size if to lurchers fall out its even enough but when its one lurcher one terrier the result is usually as you can see. ive known few killed in the time it took to stop and get the car boot open back in the day when we had no trailers or vans it can happen to easy. Guest 5Dogs
Heavy dogs and terriers together, is always a recipe for disaster. As has been mentioned,a good terrier box can help save lives. Quote Link to post

fr0gman4 0
I had a similar event with my two bull terriers (dog & bitch) but it happened whilst they were crated up together bombing down motorway never had any bother with them prior to this feed, play and bed together. been all over the country with em in a large transit cage plenty of room. Must just have decided to have it out there and then. No growling or nowt just instantly full on battle by the time I had managed to get over on to hard shoulder and run to back of vehicle, cage was bumping all over inside of car missus and kids screaming dogs rolling round like mad blood and snot everywhere. Smaller younger bitch got dog pinned in a nose grip and I'm trying to get cage door open and get em seperated and one dog out and in back seats with lorries and all sorts missing me by inches. effing shatting myself. All this happened in probably less than 1 minute result bitch with badly torn ear and neck, minor puncture to inside front leg Dog ripped up nose and face, snapped tip of secondary canine, dew claw ripped open me skint and trying to convince my insurers that i wasnt a dog fighter missus and kids traumatised vet quids in now have substatial partition dividing transit cage in half Quote Link to post
