Recommended Posts

Just thought id post a few pics of the new court me and a friend have made over past month or so , its taken a little longer than expected but now its very close to completion few bits and pieces needing cleaned up such as the where the court meets the block foundation there will be 6x1 board going to cover that up , there a net to be stapled in place infront of the nest boxes which are half way up the back wall , so what do you all think , constructive criticism plaease

i like what you done with the sleeping quarters in the 3rd picture down, easy access hatches to clean out..

i wouldnt bother with that water bowl though ! they will turn that over in no time, place a few large water bottles inside.

me personally, i would put one or two small windows covered with 1"x 1" mesh for a bit of light & fresh air.

i never bothered with caged windows as the weather is extremely shite most of the time up here , the water bowl is pretty heavy not had any problems but ill take the bottle idea into consideration . i dont know wether i had a electric light on a photodiode so when light levels are low the light in the court is off and when light levels are high then the court light is on ???

I'm about to get one built for myself and will be showing these pictures to the mate that's doing it for me.

I've been told that ferrets like to lap water so that heavy bowls they can't upturn are a good idea?

Have you put a tray of soil in there for them to dig in? (5th photo) How deep is it?

Ah Well done Liam,

The ferrets look happy in there new home , they look to have gained some weight , Perhaps they have put another coat on for the 'Shetland ' weather

Is their any condensation on the walls ? and do they venture outside often ?
