Looking to buy an airrifle

I am looking for a starter rifle for my son along the lines of the bsa supersport or similar with 4x40 scopes in good condition any out there email porkypowell@aol.com.

I think you should take a look at the BSA Lightning XL. Its a fantastic rifle and in my opinion an ideal all round gun.

Thanks for the replies sorry about the lack of info he is 12yrs so a light gun is important and a springer.

I am tempted by the lightining xl uk hunter has up for sale

I am in south wales and would like to try any rifle before buying

Lightning is a cracking gun and will not disapoint, I would consider ukhunters offer?

Yep that a decent price from uk hunter with a pretty good scope as well.....

 

If your lad is 12 then the lighning xl is perfect as its not to long, they are well balanced and also has the better trigger and less bulky muzzle break,than the standard lightning.....also they are bloody accurate...

HW95K is an excellent rifle. You also have the option to get it "super-tuned" for smoothness and consistency by Steve Pope later down the road. Mine is below:

 

 

One point worth thinking about: buy one piece scope mounts to ensure extra stability to the dovetail rails.
