Has any of the members ever seen the need to use a 'Squirrel Pole' or a 'Poacher's wand'.

As a new member I am not aware of the average age of the members but these were frequently used in my early days along with a few other types of traps and snares.

The trend these days seem to concentrate on shooting but trapping and snaring can sometimes be more effective and more productive.

Thanks for the welcome. I have seen the articles on Squirrel Snaring and clicked on the article but it does not seem to download Could I be doing something wrong?
