Hornady reloading manual

Hi Folks,

Debate ongoing over here in the ROI about reloading/handloading. Technically it's legal, you just need an explosives licence to hold the powders and primers. Easy peasy to get I am sure - not.

Anyway, I'm using Hornady rounds through my .223 at the moment. I'd like to get a Hornady manual on reloading if they do them? Can any knowledgeable people point me in the right direction where to get one, which edition etc?

Don't worry, I'm not intending to go at it on the sly, prefer to stay on the right side of the law  (less bloody hassle).

Also, if you can suggest another GOOD manual I'd appreciate that as well.

Thanks in advance,

John :)

Hello John

Whilst I have nothing against the Hodgson manual (I have a copy of it) it is for all rifle calibres and also pistols. Also being Hodgson it only recommends their powders and no one elses

As you have a 223 my advice is to look out for a book dedicated to your calibre such as "The Complete reloading Manual for the .223 Remington" This book comprising of approx 85 pages deals with nothing but the .223 and the various loads recommended and bullet weights including of course Hornaday. It also has the pages from the Hodgeson Manual.

The book normally sells on Ebay for about £7 to £10 The following link (Abebooks) has a couple listed for the .223, you could of course try Amazon.com.

Trust this helps

Peter
